Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My day to day roles include taking patient observations, taking bloods and sorting the waiting area and paperwork for different outpatient clinics.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy it a lot as I get to help people become because better and make there time at hospital a positive experience.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I’ve learnt how to take bloods and how to take blood pressure, height, weight , ecg, breathing tests. I’ve also learnt people skills and how to effectively communicate with patients

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The program is well structured as I spend 4 days a week at work learning clinical skills in the job and 1 day a week at college with my tutor doing course work
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I feel my employer is very supportive and they alway help with any questions I have and want to see me succeed

I have a tutor who is kind and supportive she always help with anything I’m struggling with.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It helps me with my role as I get an opportunity to learn about all parts of health care.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I volunteer at disability tennis events to help people learn and try out sports. I do this with my mam who is herself a wheelchair tennis player.
