Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I'm responsible for the learning and development team at Barnsley Council. This involves coordinating the corporate learning offer and overseeing the management of our LMS.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoyed the programme. It was challenging but well managed and we were given all the resources and support needed to succeed.

Yes it has given me the opportunity to undertake and understand our organisation from a more strategic level.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

It was very well organised. We were given a full programme of dates/deadlines etc before the programme started which allowed you to plan your work accordingly.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I couldn't have asked for more support. I was given work to stretch and challenge me and opportunities to carry out different tasks to help me gather the evidence needed.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I received tons of support. They were quick to get back to me when I had queries, and the resources they provided were excellent. I also had a wonderful coach to support me when needed.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It helps me to look at things from a more strategic angle. I have a greater understanding why decisions are made and the importance of organisational culture to ensure success.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I only have experience of some health and wellbeing activities such as a running group and yoga.

We're a double award winning Council. Be prepared to work hard alongside ambitious and forward thinking colleagues. We likes to embrace changes in technology and try new ways of working.
