Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
Assisting the team in a range of transactions, drafting documents. Developing negotiation skills, communication skills with clients. Attending meetings, client events and training sessions. Responsibility grows steadily throughout the programme, so that you can gain confidence to email clients directly, and run matters more interdependently.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I thoroughly enjoy the programme, as it's varied, and I enjoy learning through practical experiences. It's nice to be surrounded by experienced team members which definitely helps you to develop. It's rewarding to look back at how much you have learnt!

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Both! The apprenticeship teaches/develops your whole skillset and responsibilities- but gradually and with lots of support. I would say that my communication and organisation skills have developed the most.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
Very, the university of law provide you with a clear structure of each year so you know what to expect. The firm gives you guidance and are clear on how the programme works.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
The support is great, with regular check-ins and chances to give feedback.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
The support is great, with regular check-ins and chances to give feedback. They are also conscious of the fact your managing working too, and take this into account.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
The law degree compliments the work you do day-to-day well, and enhances your performance in the office. Even topics which don't have a direct link to the team your in tend to have some overlap and areas which you can make links to.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There's a range of societies and clubs to get involved in from lots of sports, to reading, knitting, sailing clubs- most things you can think of! There's free drinks in the office after work every Thursday, as well as lots of team socials so you can get involved in lots and meet lots of people.
