Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I work as an adult social support worker, where i give support to vulnerable adults with learning disability in other for them to experience life positively and independently. In my role I support with their medication administration, management of finances, medical appointments, meal planning and preparation, social engagement and shopping.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I have been having a lovely time on the programme,as it has exposed me to a lot about my role. I am happy because of the confidence I have developed as a result of the knowledge and skills I have acquired from the learning that is being applied.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt some new skills, and developed some existing skills that have been latent within. I have learnt about teamwork, which to me i see as key to my role as a Social support worker. This skill is necessary as you will need to collaborate with other health professionals.

The quality of of training being provided by the trainer has helped to develop confidence on the job, and I am sure on completion of this project, my approach towards how my task will be handled in a more professional way guided by the legal framework.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

At work there are other extracurricular activities that the people we care for are involved.in that as staffs we partake in, such as the theatre, athletes, basketball.
