I work in a leadership role within a healthcare setting, supporting both the team and the people we care for. My day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing service delivery, supporting staff development, managing operational challenges, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. A significant part of my role also involves coaching and mentoring colleagues, fostering a positive team culture, and driving continuous improvement within the service.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I have thoroughly enjoyed the programme. It has provided valuable space to reflect on my leadership style and develop a more structured coaching approach. The learning has been both practically relevant and personally enriching, allowing me to integrate coaching into my daily interactions and responsibilities as the Service Manager.

It’s well structured and easy to follow programme. The flow of the modules makes sense and builds over time. There’s a good mix of learning and putting things into practice.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I’ve been supported by my line manager throughout the apprenticeship. I’ve been given the space and flexibility, which enabled me to successfully complete the training and apply what I’ve learned in my role.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Tutors were approachable and helpful, providing useful feedback. Group sessions and one-to-one support have helped to reinforce learning and maintain momentum throughout the programme.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It has provided me with practical tools to support staff more confidently, improve communication, and develop a coaching culture within my team, focus on helping others think for themselves. This has positively impacted team engagement, problem-solving, and build their confidence .

Yes, there are opportunities to get involved in additional activities, including professional networking events, internal development initiatives, supporting both personal wellbeing and professional growth. It depends on the service, but there is encouragement to connect and get involved.
