Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I am currently on secondment to the Welsh Government assisting as a Part 1 Claims Advisor and also assisting on the A465 Section 5 & 6 handling transfers of documents.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I fully enjoy my studies, and really enjoy coming to work, there is always something new everyday.

I am currently teaching myself CAD and its extensive softwares

Arcadis are fantastic, and always fully supportive, in any aspect of my apprenticeship, and within my studies also.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Coleg Gwent Cicvil Engineering staff, Thomas Hillier in particular are extremely supportive towards my studies and pastorally also.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Extremely, it is fully aided and works hand in hand with task I am carrying out.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I am currently the chair of the Sports and Social committee and have been since I first started in 2021, and have successfully organised and managed over 8 to 10 events. I also attend ICE seminars in my own personal time

Due to being an older apprentice, I have worked for numerous employers and none have ever given me the support, flexibility and opportunities that Arcadis has.
