As a UX/UI Designer, I create intuitive, accessible digital experiences by designing website wireframes and prototypes, and collaborating with developers. My day-to-day tasks include researching, designing interfaces, and ensuring designs meet both user needs and business goals while prioritising accessibility and usability.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy my apprenticeship as it allows me to work in real projects while continuously learning. I appreciate the focus on accessibility and user-centered design, though balancing work, study, and personal commitments can be challenging. Overall, it’s a rewarding experience that supports my growth.

I've deepened my understanding of accessibility in UX/UI design, improving my ability to create inclusive digital experiences. I’ve also developed stronger research skills, particularly in user testing and feedback analysis, allowing me to make more informed design decisions that enhance usability and engagement

My employer is highly dedicated to apprentices, providing valuable opportunities to apply my learning and develop my skills. While my training provider offers support, there is room for improvement in providing clearer guidance and more structured feedback. However, my employer’s commitment ensures I stay on track in my development.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My qualification provides a good foundation in UX/UI principles, helping me understand best practices and apply them in my role. However, some aspects could be more tailored to real-world challenges. Fortunately, my employer’s hands-on approach bridges the gap, allowing me to develop practical skills alongside my studies.

Additionally, mentoring sessions from external advisors provide valuable guidance, supporting both personal and professional growth.
