Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?
The course is divided into clear blocks (e.g., Systems and Architecture, Cloud Foundations, DevOps Methodologies). This logical flow ensures you aren't trying to learn advanced CI/CD before you understand basic Linux administration.
Virtual Classrooms & Labs: QA uses structured, week-long intensive learning blocks. These are followed by labs on demand, which provide a sandbox environment to practice without risking Adopstar’s live infrastructure.
The 20% Off-the-Job Structure: Because Adopstar is so supportive, this formal requirement is well-organized. You have a clear boundary between doing the job and learning the craft, which prevents burnout.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
The culture at Adopstar is built on the idea that everyone 'belongs,' which creates a psychologically safe environment to learn. I never feel like I'm a burden when I ask technical questions. The leadership team are always available for a chat.
Adopstar provides me with dedicated, uninterrupted time to focus on my QA modules. They recognise that my upskilling is an investment in the company's future. This protected time allows me to complete my labs and portfolio work without the stress of daily operational tasks bleeding into my study hours.
The support extends to my future goals. When I expressed an interest in pursuing an AI apprenticeship after my Level 4, the response was incredibly encouraging.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
Recommendations & Advice
Would you recommend Adopstar to a friend?
Why?
They truly value upskilling, my 20% off-the-job training time is respected, and I’m given the high-spec tools and support I need to master my Level 4 DevOps curriculum.
The "Live, Succeed, Learn, and Belong" values are real. It’s a psychologically safe environment where you can ask questions, make mistakes, and learn from others.
They don’t just care about the now. They are already supporting my ambition to progress into an AI apprenticeship once I finish my current qualification.
Between the charity quizzes and bingo nights, it’s a fun, social place to work where you genuinely feel part of a team.
Adopstar is the perfect place for someone who wants to work at the cutting edge of tech while being treated like a valued member of the family.
