Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role involves sales on a day to day basis and trying to gain every sale whether that is for selling a holiday or insurance, cruise or Tui experiences. It also includes me doing my apprentice side of it all where I come off shop floor for a day and try complete actions that have been set.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really do enjoy it I find that having a challenge as I am fresh out of school and now I am 6 months down the line as a Tui apprentice I do find crazy but I feel it has made me gain so much more knowledge and confidence and I am excited to keep learning more and all the other things that come along with the apprentice and the role itself.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

-Being able to sell holidays confidently and really trying to hit my targets for my actual job role.
-For the apprentice side I have learnt lots on the different destinations and learnt a whole new side of knowing places and as for the job role I am able to add that into completing them.
-I have also learnt so much about GDPR and all confidentiality with every process of doing something and learning on an apprentice has also gave me the knowledge of being able to remember and slow down a lot.
-I have learnt about the different suppliers through both shop floor and apprentice side of it and carol my apprentice coach has been a massive help towards it all.
-For the apprentice side I have learnt lots on the different destinations and learnt a whole new side of knowing places and as for the job role I am able to add that into completing them.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

My program is very well organized and structured by myself when I am completing them and when [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the Higherin Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] my apprentice coach sets all my work out she works around me and we come to an agreement on when I am able to finish them properly and to be able to feel confident walking into a review and also to make me feel more relaxed when I'm on the shop floor.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a lot of support, when I need help there is a lot of support nearby and it really works out to be able to get the work done successfully. One thing is your never alone, my managers are so much help and are really supportive and [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the Higherin Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] my apprentice coach from the beginning has always helped out wherever she can and then I walk out of my review confident for the next one and that I have enough time to complete. My colleagues are also a massive help and really try and help me where they can and if I have any questions there is always one of them there to help me.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

[This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the Higherin Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] has been such a great and supportive coach since the beginning, I can balance the actual work of the business and the apprenticeship side really easily and she has always got examples to show me so that I do not get confused at any time and she always sends me things to support and help me. I have been on job for 6 month now and have never not once felt not supported so it is great that carol has helped me through this as she always explains things.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I think that [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the Higherin Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] provides tones of information for me to base things off ad she has supported me and she shows me that she is only a message away, she has also directed me to other people that can help if she is busy for that moment and it always works. I feel really good about walking out of my review and performing my role on the shop floor as for example all the different destinations have really made me gain knowledge and now when I am sat with a customer and there asking for recommendations it because more easy.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Sometimes we all go out to catch up and there are days where colleagues put on the Facebook page of ours like if anyone wants to go out and do something or if it is someone's birthday then we arrange something. Some people go to the gym and it is all interactive and anyone is free to go.

Would you recommend TUI UK & Ireland to a friend?

Why?
I would recommend TUI to a friend because ever since I started I was very nervous at the start and my colleagues, managers, coaches have all helped me to succeed 6 months down the line by pushing me to be my best and it has really benefited me in my roll. So I would recommend this to someone as it can be really good for you and it is something different and it also opens options up in the future.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to TUI UK & Ireland?
I would say make sure you are really prepared with notebooks and as long as you bring the confidence, the rest will come along with it no matter your age, if you can show you can speak to customers confidently and compliantly you will continue to succeeding in your job role and a main thing is just try speaking up about things you do not understand because then learning the right way is the better way.
