Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Within my role, I sell holidays to customers by finding them their dream holiday based on their brief. I help with any amendments and selling experiences and Travel insurance as well. I also serve foreign exchange in the bureau.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I am enjoying my programme as I have learnt lots about the travel industry and how it can take me further in my career. I find it interesting and informative

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Communication skills have been developed more as I have worked with all types of customers, as well as customer service skills and making sure that my customers are happy with the service provided.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

This course has been very well structured and I have known exactly what to do for each assignment and how it links to my day to day job.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive support from both my manager in store and my apprentice coach who are both keen to get me learning and fully trained to be the best I can be at my job.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive any help I need from my apprentice coach who is always on hand to answer any questions or queries I may have.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I think my training helps with my day to day job as it has allowed me to learn more about the industry and destinations we offer as well as how to approach different situations with different customer types.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are lots of different activities that people can try out, such as a reading club, running club and networking events.

I have found this apprenticeship to be interesting and informative which has set me up for a future in the travel industry.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to TUI UK & Ireland?
I would advice to take time out to complete the apprenticeship as it has taken me longer than I had hoped due to staffing levels within my store and having to be on the shop floor.
