Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Ensuring our Retail estate receive comprehensive yet engaging communication relating to the wider business, out customers and their daily roles. Managing and planning the Retail communications calendar to ensure all Stakeholders receive regular support around their products and or/responsibilities. Supporting my line manager with trading and commercial related tasks to ensure we support our tour operator in order to be productive.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I love learning new skills and networking with different people from around the business, so this programme is perfect as it combines my passion for learning with collaboration.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I am continuously learning new skills which is something I am very passionate about. I have just started my apprenticeship and completed my induction however as the course progresses, I am confident I will continue to grow new skills and develop existing skills.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

As explained in the previous question, I have only just began the programme however from my experience so far, this has been very well organised with very knowledgeable and supportive coaches. All sessions have been planned in for the duration of the programme, and I am now commencing my OTJ learning. Everything has been explained to me clearly in terms of expectations and support available.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

A great deal. TUI have been particularly supportive throughout my 20 year career and are very passionate about their people and their development within the business.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

So far the support has been great and as expected. Any questions are welcomed and answered quickly.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It's early for me to say, however I can forecast that this qualification will undoubtably provide me with the tools, knowledge and experience to be the best version of me and assist with career progression. It will stretch me in my current role, and also provide opportunities to collaborate with others.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

We have a social network who are great for engagement and getting colleagues from all around the function together. We have a wealth of support networks such as Menopause, Neurodiversity and Family. Sports activities alongside Luton Footfall club also happen on a regular basis, as well as tapping into national focuses such as get moving for march etc.

Why?
Because I am an advocate for TUI and I trust them. I think trust is key to connect with an employer but this is also a two-way process. I feel passionate about our brand, our service and truly believe we have the best people who work for us.

Be yourself - TUI champion individuality and D,E&I and we support all of our colleagues to be themselves when at work.
