Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I have a commercial role and am in aviation planning for my first year. My day-to-day roles vary depending on the season and time of year which makes my role very exciting. I complete tasks such as report running, airport communications and flight planning.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy the programme. It has massively impacted my confidence and professionalism within the workplace. I also enjoy working with everyone that I have met, everyone is very kind and has given me lots of support.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt a lot of new skills which involve IT work as well as communication methods which have helped me be more professional, especially in meetings

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The compamy is well structured with clear SLT linsk to each team. This creates a level of trust between all levels and can help to build relationships within your team.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I feel very supported when I am at work as I have regular interations with several different people as well as my personal buddy who helps to answer any generalised questions that I have around the company and os there to support through any personal issues. When completing my personal responsibilities I feel as though I am supported by my team. TUI has a lot of great systems that contribute towards better mental health and show a lot of care towards their employees.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My assessor always comments on my work to give me feedback on points that I need to work on further in depth. She is also very contactable via email and has added in extra sessions when I have asked for them. I feel very supported.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel as though my qualification is linked to my role as I have learnt about important business fundamentals which help me within the workplace in gerneral and communication to get tasks done. The assignments do link to my daily tasks and elp me to feel more confident.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I attended the commercial conference at the end of last year which I really enjoyed. This was a good chance to learn more about the wider team that I work within as well as create better relationships with my colleagues.

Because of the amount of support that I recieve from everyone within the company. I feel as though TUI is a very positive place to work.
