Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
2/5
Change and resilience group, Scottish Devolution programme. I am a stakeholder manager, I organise meetings between my team and stakeholders. I collate and analyse information for decision making.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
2/5
it is not the type of learning I am use to, I struggle to get in contact with anyone from the programme to support me. I have had to explain multiple times I am dyslexic to get what was agreed as part of the disability assessment. it is a very frustrating experience

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
2/5
I have developed existing skills as I hold a BA(Hons) in management.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
The structure is in place for the overall programme however balancing this with a full time job is complicated further by different tutors selecting different times of the week/day to meet with each group. I try to assign Fridays to my learning but other invites are issues that changes this.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
My line manager is very supportive, the original line manager who signed the documents was not supportive at all and suggested I withdraw after being accepted because of the work that would be involved for them. I have since been assigned a new line manager who is very supportive however she can only support me so far without needing wider support which is not available through my hierarchy. I have to speak to other people on the programme to get support.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
2/5
No response to emails, I have to mention my own disability often and my apprenticeship tutor said "you are slow but you have a reason to be slow" due to my dyslexia so overall I dont feel supported.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
What I learn on my own through assignments has supported my role and how I see aspects such as management structure. However I am unable to apply this knowledge due to my current grade.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
I am part of Hassra which provide a good range of activities.
