Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I follow up enquiries made by customers, answering the phone with customer queries, post content on our store Facebook and help customers find the perfect holiday for them!
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt so many new skills including professional communication, digital skills by learning how to use the many systems we have and also develop maths skill by dealing with currency exchange in the bureau and working out discount percentages.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
Very! I am given dedicated time off the shop floor to complete apprenticeship work so my development as a travel advisor and completing the apprenticeship effectively is well balanced!
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Lots! There is an overwhelming amount of support and people you can reach out to for help, for example our apprenticeship teams page which is a group with lots of other apprentices where we can ask questions and get help each other on different pieces of work that some may have already completed.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
Always offer resources and organise in person meetings with other apprentices and suppliers to help develop knowledge and build relationships
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
It gives you a more in depth insight into the role as the tasks mean a lot of research is done allowing you to become so much more confident
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
We have days where we will meet with all other apprentices to develop our relationship with each other so we have support from those also going through the same experience.
