Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Was given a project early on and completed the training in 3 months, am now coding and developing on a daily basis to roughly the same difficulty / standard of other team members and am involved in project design calls and bug testing's. I frequently give demos and participate in volunteering opportunities related to my work.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The work side of the program is great but the uni side isnt as good

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt C#, ts , python and angular and react , i have learnt about web development in the front end and back end and some basics of devOps. I have been able to work with LLM's and MMM's. I have developed my communication and public speaking skills.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The work side of the program was structured well , however that was down to my project having a good training course / integration. The Uni side is poor, with the uni being unstructured and chaotic
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employers give me lots of opportunities , letting me deliver demos and talk in front of clients /directors and give me lots of support on anything im struggling with , being generous with time given to complete certain tasks / tickets. They promptly answer any questions and give guidance on anything i may need
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are lots of social events, including meals , show viewings , go carting etc, anything you could want to do can be accommodated. there are lots of networking events however most are in london and take a bit of traveling , however this can be expensed

Why?
very supportive company, the work is interesting and enjoyable, they really value their apprentices and its easy to move projects if you don't enjoy what your doing. they put in lots of effort to ensure your integrated and will genuinely listen to you and do whats needed to make you comfortable.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to CGI?
be yourself, they hire for personality and don't be too nervous .
