Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Complete daily and monthly reconciliation of companies accounts as well as work out why any differences are occurring. Also focused on tacking risk of suppliers.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes much more responsibility than expected (in a good way).
Was responsible for organising and presenting regular supplier risk meetings with directors & heads of departments. Also spoke directly to the executive committee.
Was given the chance to automate many of our current tasks so we could work more efficiently.
Spoke to colleagues all across the business not just within my team.

Within my team i had a lot of support if I did not understand something however they didn't just give me the answer they helped me learn why I didn't understand it in the first place to better help me develop.
Would also be willing to help even if it was during a busy period.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I very much enjoyed my placement as it wasnt just a wasted year making coffees. The responsibly given to me helped me develop so much over the year however was done in a structured way to ensure i didn't become overwhelmed.
I could not speak more highly of my team and how they have not only been supportive but also so welcoming into the community.
I would 100% come back!
