Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

As a HR apprentice I have the opportunity to move around different HR departments from reward to HR operations to Learning & Development. I am currently in HR operations where I send contracts; post jobs and respond to emails. I also get the chance to shadow some SHRA's.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I'm really enjoying my programme and when it finishes in 2/3 months I want to do another apprenticeship to progress further :)

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed so many new skills. One of them being excel as now I can confidently use basic excel skills and I am definitely now a much better communicator withy people of all different levels, ages and experiences.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Very well structured! There are set workbook activities but you can move them around to suit your job role at the time. This works for me as I rotate departments.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Lots of support! Everybody that I work with is willing to help me and my managers are always looking for ways to progress me.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Lots of support! Crosby are always sending out useful emails to help with our 'off the job' hours.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I can really correlate what I learn in my workshops and work books to activities that I perform in my role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

So many extra-curricular activities! we have network groups like a running club, neurodiversity group and a knitting club!

There are so many opportunities in TUI to move around and everyone is so willing to help.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to TUI UK & Ireland?
Just go for it! Honestly, getting this apprenticeship was such a shock to me because it was such a random thing to apply for but I knew I wanted to do an apprenticeship and now I've got this and I love it! So honestly just go for it:)
