Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I am tasked with managing and assisting Pre and Post Contract Construction projects in Scotland. Tasks include managing procurement in Pre Contract stages and monthly financial reporting during Post Contract.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy my programme to a large extent. The opportunities I am exposed to really enhance my learning experience and allow for development ion my career.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed many skills during my apprenticeship. I have learnt how approach clients and how to present deliverables to their requirements.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

My Programme is well organised with university day release occurring one a week during term times and all documents are provided by my training provider.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive all the necessary support from my employer. I am entitled to one day a week of training and study days prior to exams.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My training provider provide some support when working towards my qualification. Feedback is provided from university coursework's, but this can sometimes be vague with no real detail.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

As I have progress at university, I am able to link more module topics to tasks I am undertaking in my workplace. I expect more and more to relate as I progress through my programme.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Within our team we have monthly hub days where our team from Edinburgh come and work in Glasgow or vise versa. I have also participated in an organised Golf Social and office socials.
