Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I create newsletters, plan townhalls, send invites, write social media posts, write stories, create sharepoint sites
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I really enjoy my programme as it is giving me valuable skills that I will need to take into my future career. It is giving me the work experience I will need to get a job when I finish my apprenticeship.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learnt how to write good communication posts and learnt how to use software that I wouldn't have known how to use

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
My programme is well structured. My line manager knows who I am and what I need for support during my studies and work so it is well organised. We have weekly meetings to discuss any doubts.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I recieve so much support from my line manager as mentioned in the previous question. 121 discussions every week really help to plan my week and ensure I am on the right path and I am not stressed at work so my wellbeing is positive.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
I receive so much support from the course leader. She adapts to what I need to complete my studies and is very supportive. During Modules the tutor for that module always give support by offering to send drafts of assignments and discussing how i can improve
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
During modules you can see the comparison from what you are learning to your day to day role. You can implement the learning to what you are doing at work and are able to make sense of it.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
I am involved in mentoring new apprentices to offer support that they need when they join as I know its a daunting time when you first join such a large organisation.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Unilever to a friend?
Yes
Why?
It offers so many opportunities to help you develop, and also offers good perks e.g with the Unilever shop full of Unilever products, flexible hours, good annual leave and most of the support you get to help with your apprenticeship.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Unilever?
Always communicate is the key and if you feel overwhelmed by anything just speak up. Your colleagues will always be there to support you along the way.
