Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
My daily responsibilities vary from cashiering and treasury tasks. My cashiering tasks mostly involve recording and depositing money from the customers into the correct bank account whereas treasury tasks involve monitoring all HFS bank accounts to ensure financial stability throughout our accounts.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
As much responsibility as I could have. In my day-to-day work, I work alone and then report to my manager when they're finished. However, as I work in Treasury, I needed access to different softwares to complete some of my tasks. At the original end-date of my placement, I still do not have complete access to these softwares meaning I have not had as much responsibility as I could have.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
Throughout my placement, I have focused on developing my presentation skills, data analysis, time management and organisational skills. My Microsoft office skills have also greatly developed. I have also learnt how to use different accounting and treasury software, such as Wall Street and SAP.

I received alot of support and guidance throughout my placement. All members of my team were happy to go over anything I was stuck on at any point.

Everyone in HFS is super lovely and very approachable. Working in the office is very enjoyable.

What advice would you give to others applying to Honda Motor Europe
Try and get involved in as much as you can. I have only been here for a year, and have helped at Motorcycle Live in Birmingham and am going to Barcelona to represent HFS UK for NHC. Everyone is super lovely so just go for it!
