Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Daily tasks include; posting journals, producing and writing reports, liasing with business stakeholders, supporting new starters, attending team meetings, monitoring spend on projects, responding to queries from different business areas.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I'm enjoying my role at work and the new skills I'm developing. I'm enjoying learning about everything finance/accounting.
Some parts of the apprenticeship don't feel ovely beneficial and are quite time consuming, which can be a little frustrating during busy periods.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I've learnt lots of new skills in my role, I was completely new to finance when I joined the team so it has been a steep learning curve for me.
I have developmed my IT skills, particularly system use and excel. I've also developed my communication skills further.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
I think my program could have been organised better. My first course was in November 2023 and then my next one in May 2024 (which I am about to sit the exam for.) Inbetween some of the course dates there's a skills day in the middle which doesnt feel appropriate as it's another day out of work and it feels like the priority should be the course and exam at that point.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive lot's of support from my employer, they are flexible and understanding of the course dates and my line manager regular checks if I need additional support.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
The support from the training provider is adequate. The tutors are very friendly and respond to extra questions quickly. It would be beneifical to have an extra catch up after the course, as a group, to just go over some areas that were weak points in the mock exams.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
Currently, I don't feel it has a huge impact as the topics we've covered so far don't have any relevance to my day-to-day role. I think as the course continues it will cover topics that I can apply to my role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes, the team regularly host teambuilding days.
