Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Designing new features for the mobile banking app. This involves using Figma to design app screens. Work alongside product owners, developers, senior stakeholders, brand, risk and accessibility teams to create the optimal customer centric solution. My role allows you immerse yourself in the full beginning to end design process which involves research (competitor analysis, customer analysis, interviews and surveys), ideation (constant standups, discussions, iterations and new ideas), designing to deliver (perfecting the designs so they can be handed off to the developers to code). I also support with additional design and research tasks.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes a very large responsibility, I was treated just like my other colleagues and was given just as much work/responsibility as them - sometimes more!
