What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Great company culture. Not as commercially driven as other firms. Always supported when wanting to get involved in activities outside the team. All colleagues, no matter how senior would make themselves available for calls.

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
Really enjoyed the year. Great experience being a part of Nationwide as a developing placement student. Learnt a lot and feel it has been very valuable for my future prospects.

Read up on the business model of the company and ensure full understanding of how being member owned makes the firm different. Make sure curiosity and interest in working in a department is on show fully. Show evidence of a continual improvement mindset.
