as head of group customer outcomes I am responsible for provision of risk management , assurance and compliance advisory services within the first line of defence. Ensuring the organisation delivers good customer outcomes in line with internal policy and external FCA regulation.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
2/5
I enjoy the learning material and being in a learning environment , the scheduling leaves a lot to be desired with lots of last minute changes of timetable and lecturers which can feel chaotic and not optimum for learning e.g. an entire module being squeezed into 2 days.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
3/5
Learnt new skills relating to accounting and finance, developed further skills in senior leadership and organisational behaviours.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
2/5
As above, the scheduling feels disorganised with lots of last minute changes, timing/locations/lecturers/timetable.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
Hi, workload hasn't reduced so is a real struggle to cope with deadline and the additional workload this entails. My boss is supportive and I know where I can for further guidance if needed.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
the faculty and university are supportive.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
I can feel that it adds value as well as building confidence as a senior leader, the content is meaningful and relevant to modern corporate world. e.g economy, globalisation
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
1/5
Very limited, any external networking I pursue through my own network/connections.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend The AA to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I think for the right individual with the right work ethic there are opportunities to progress. I can't stress the right individual enough though as the culture requires resilience.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to The AA?
- Ensure you are clear on what your own strengths and weaknesses are and are dynamic to call on others to complement your skill set.
