Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
My role involves designing and leading marketing campaigns that are focused on supporting specific key sales opportunities identified by the business leadership. This involves audience/stakeholder research and assessment, campaign strategy, project planning, marketing execution, review and measurement. I work directly with sales leadership (my internal customers) and manage a team of contributing marketing specialists to support the delivery and creative aspects of the plan.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
The programme is very enjoyable. The majority of the content for my modules and reflection pieces comes from my real work experiences, and the support and coaching from Gemma at Crosby helps me reflect and consider - really deepening the value I am able to get learning from my real work projects.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have developed skills significantly through my apprenticeship with Crosby. I came into the apprenticeship with a wide range of experience and the program has enabled me to properly reflect on and learn from these scenarios, understanding what other courses of action could have been effective and ultimately equipping me better to handle them in the future.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The programme is very clearly structured. Initially I had a range of modules to complete - coincidentally these mapped perfectly to experiences I was dealing with day-to-day in my role - and these modules were "released" to be by my coach as I progressed so I always had sight of the next few. I am now working on my End Point Assessment work.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
I get sufficient support from my employer. My employer provides me with a mentor - which gives me the opportunity to further reflect and gain a further perspective on challenges and approaches with someone outside of the course and real world situation which is very helpful. Further to this, my line manager recognises the significance of the course and agrees that it is a valuable part of my development plan (despite it initiating under a previous leader).
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I get a lot of support from the training provider. Crosby provide a wealth of learning materials aligned to the modules, as well as regular Coaching sessions that give me the opportunity to reflect on my real world scenarios, or talk through the contents of a particular module - this helps me think through the work and gain new perspectives on my working challenges in addition to the modules themselves.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
My qualification is certainly already helping me perform better in my role. I experienced a hugely challenging period of business change alongside studying the apprenticeship, which meant I had a wealth of material to draw from when working on my modules - but the course itself enabled me to consider new ways of handling challenges.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes. There are a range of extra-curricular activities that are available at Accenture. These include Employee representation/interest groups such as Women in Tech, Pride, Family, Diversity and Inclusion, and more. In addition, there are hobby/sport groups such as board game nights held in local offices, as well as bouldering. Larger sites even have sports teams.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Accenture to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Accenture is a huge company offering a massive range of career options to many different types of people. This size means it's possible to explore many different routes and opportunities all within the company. In addition, the company puts a lot of effort into being an employer of choice with generous benefits, working conditions and engagement initiatives.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Accenture?
I would recommend that people applying to Accenture ensure they research technology trends and concepts, as well as how Accenture approaches the market (in terms of service lines and industries) prior to an application or interview so as to be able to credibly speak about Accenture's differentiated position in the industry.
