Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
My day to day involves of going to factory and learning about the different job roles there to see which role we think is best for us, this consists of 8 week rotation for each section so we can learn as much as we can about that role in the factory. I feel like this was a great idea from the company so we can see what it takes to be a successful business.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I really enjoy my program I think it’s great. As everyone is nice at work and you can ask questions to anyone if you get confused on what your doing.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I’ve learnt what some of the codes mean on the program, which tells the machine what to do, I found this very interesting.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
I feel like at the start it wasn’t very well organised with poor communication, but I can see that my company are working on improving and I can see that they are improving on communication and are wanting to feedback from us to see if there’s any improvements that need made.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I receive a lot of support from my employer, as when I was at tdr training, my employer would come in to see me and the other apprentices once a month to ask for our feedback and too see if there’s any improvements to be made, they also explained to us how it would work coming into the factory after finishing our training at tdr.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
I receive quite a bit of support when training towards my qualifications, as I have already finished my level 3 qualifications at college before getting an apprenticeship. My manger is trying their best to look into seeing if I can start my level 4 HNC so I don’t have to repeat what I’m doing.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
1/5
I feel like our training provider isn’t very good, as there’s always lectures not showing up as they are ill or in meetings and we have been left in the classroom waiting for a cover lecture to come in and they never show up.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
Yes there is you can get involved with football and many other activities at work.
