Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

As a project manager degree apprentice I am responsible for helping with a range of projects. Typically my day consists of replying to emails, meetings, admin tasks, shadowing and if I have time I complete training.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy my degree apprenticeship. I feel like it is well rounded and I am able to have work-life balance whilst being a member at CGI as well as university student.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

CGI have enabled me to learn and develop several new skills. They promote upskilling and have a range of training courses available as well as members who are willing to take time out and support you. Personally, I have had regular meetings to discuss progression and upskilling.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

I feel like my programme is very well structured. We have an amazing Early Careers Lead who has made the transition to corporate very seamless.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I have a lot of support from CGI. I have a mentor, line manager and buddy who I keep in regular contact with. They constantly provide me with support whether that is regarding work or university.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I am able to receive support. I have been provided support on numerous occasions when I have ran into issues or had questions.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel like my university course enriches my technical and business knowledge. I can make evident links to course content and applying things I learnt at university to work.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

CGI are amazing regarding extra-curricular activities. They offer a volunteering day; have a range of networks that members can join; and a Sports and Social Club to join exclusive events.
