Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I primarily use CAD and Excel for my job. On a number of projects, I have fixed typical detailed drawings. To make sure all the various objects are in their proper locations, I have also been comparing models to the schedule. Afterward, moving these designs through the workflow for approval and review before handing them over to maintenance
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The creating and mending aspects of my job are something I really appreciate. Working with live drawings is interesting because it calls for a variety of solutions that must be determined. Since each problem has a unique answer, solving each one demands careful consideration and effort. It keeps the job interesting.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Since I began working, I have utilised a variety of software. The key skill I acquired early on was utilising CAD. I did this every day until I felt comfortable making and fixing drawings. Since my job demands different software for different jobs, I have since moved on to Civil 3d and Revit.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

Arcadis has an extremely ordered organisational structure. There is always someone I can seek for assistance from. I collaborate closely with other apprentices who have taken the same path as me and can offer the assistance required. The university side, though, is unclear and occasionally difficult to understand. very neat
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I get a lot of assistance from my job. We have a group of apprentices who are considerably further along the way than I am, so they have a better understanding of my situation and can offer the greatest assistance. If I have a problem at work, my line manager is always delighted to talk to me on the phone.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

They contribute significantly to my qualifications. There is always someone who is knowledgeable in the area I need assistance because the organisation has several diverse divisions. If I need more time to study for my examinations, I can also reserve some of my time, which makes me feel less stressed.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My degree will broaden my understanding of my job since it helps me better comprehend the essential skills needed to be a civil engineer. I do my duties to a higher standard when I have more knowledge and expertise, and as a result of this, I am given more challenging assignments.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

It is true that the workplace team plays in a football game. We have a teams group where members can post messages and plan where and when the game will be played. The corporation frequently pays for professional networking events that have taken place throughout the year for a variety of reasons.

Why?
They provide a great office space that can be utilised, as well as a great working environment with pleasant employees. In order to maintain the health of their workforce, they offer good office supplies and aid in training personnel to use them. For those experiencing mental difficulties, they also provide posts and assistance.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Arcadis?
My advice is, before starting the interview task design. Make sure you participate, communicate your views clearly, but also pay attention to other suggestions from others and show an openness to incorporating them. Being a team player in these is essential to getting the job because it is a huge component of Acradis.
