Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
My role consists of answering calls, sending emails, completing the college aspect of the job.
I answer payroll queries via telephone, have an hour every week for self development and completing things outside of my main role. I have the chance to look into different departments in my self development time as well as improve myself in my current role
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I really enjoy my programme as it gives me the chance to work in a role i never thought i would work in. The offline days are fun and allow you to bond with your team as well as working through the college side. working on the phones is also fun as you can have a laugh with the customers

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learnt alot of new skills while working here. i have learnt how to successfully process payroll and resolve queries that show in the programme. i have also learnt how to change things in the background of the programme. I can now write a formal email as well as talking on the phone

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
The programme is well organised and structured from the college side being set out so you work at your own pace comfortably to the job side and the journey from training to working on front line. the apprenticeship is explained fully at the start with what path you take as well as when you need to reach certain points.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
The support from the employers is amazing as you feel fully supported by everyone in the business.
When you join they hold your hand through everything then let you grow at your own pace rather than pushing you to a place you cant reach making you feel important and fully supported.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
The support from the tutor is great. you can talk to them directly, regarding the college work, the job and things outside of work. if something is bothering you they make sure you feel safe enough to talk about it and don't make you feel ashamed or embarrassed about it.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
The qualification gives you a deeper understanding of the role showing you why the company exists, what the core values and the reason they do what they do. It gives you a deeper understanding of what you're doing in the role as well as the information you were given during training.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are a lot of extra curricular activities from pride network, different clubs for people with different interests and seasonal activities such as football clubs for world cup and premiere league and derby's going on at the time. There are also games clubs as well as games going on during lunch.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Sage (UK) Ltd to a friend?
Yes
Why?
The care you receive from your employer is so caring. Although it is a call centre they take pride in the employees that work in the company. from the minute you start, to completing the apprenticeship to going on to front line they make sure you are happy and in the best place for you
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Sage (UK) Ltd?
Don't be worried about joining, the job has a lot of maths but the trainers and other people in the company make sure you are comfortable. It can be hard at times but it's worth it at the end when you've finished the apprenticeship and you can say you finished it.
