Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
Day one focuses on getting to know J.P. Morgan through deep dives into our teams and their work, panel sessions exploring the daily work of analysts and associates and interactive Q&A.
There was a welcome with a senior employee along with a skills masterclass hosted by DebateMate. There was also an ‘Understanding the Price of Money’ workshop and an investment banking overview.
Day two included a spotlight on the different areas in the business you could join helping you choose the path that is best for you through networking. As well as a markets overview followed by Q&A and a networking session. There was a 'Philanthropy, Sustainability & Environmental Risk' Overview followed by an interactive case study activity. Lastly, there was an Investment Banking Interactive Case Study Exercise followed by an Investment Banking Networking session.
Day three included a Credit Risk & Market Risk Overview, Asset Management Overview, Asset Class Speed Networking (Asset Management), Wealth Management Overview, Wealth Management Interactive Case Study Exercise, Corporate Panel, and Senior Networking.
Day four started with a Wholesale Payments & GCB Panel followed by an interactive group Wholesale Payments Task. The day ended with an insight into The Future of J.P. Morgan, CV Skills Session and Demystifying the Recruitment Process.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
The concepts were explained really well and we had the opportunity to ask to follow up questions to increase our understanding.

I learnt key skills in investment banking and having networking opportunities which have been the most beneficial.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Very welcoming and open to supporting us even after the end of the week. I gained many networks who were willing to answer any follow-up questions and have a quick zoom meeting.
