Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
The Open Day was an incredible opportunity to visit Taylor Wessing's offices and gain an insight on the firm's work and culture. Participants got to hear from partners, associates, trainees, and the Grad Rec team. Questions were encouraged throughout, contributing to a very interactive experience. The group exercise and feedback we received will be very beneficial for future assessment centres. Overall, the Open Day was very enjoyable and I would highly recommend it!
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
Spending time at the Taylor Wessing office further cemented my interest in the firm. During the open day I was able to have informal conversations with members of the Taylor Wessing team, and understand their motivations for applying and staying at the firm. Hearing the different perspectives gave me a well-rounded picture of life at Taylor Wessing.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
I gained a much better understanding of what sets Taylor Wessing apart from other law firms. Although I had repeatedly heard good things about the firm's culture, the Open Day gave me the opportunity to actually experience that culture. The skills session with the Grad Rec team offered invaluable advice for vac scheme applications.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Very friendly and open. The Grad Rec team was very friendly and supportive in the run-up to the Open Day, on the day itself, and in the aftermath. Trainees, associates, and partners were present, demonstrating the firm's commitment at all levels to engaging with talent, and the non-hierarchical culture.
