Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Assessing, quantifying and paying invoices for work carried out on the Hinkley Point C project. Accepting quotations, sending out compensation events, and instructing subcontractors for work to be carried out on site. Reviewing rates on contracts and any related law.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Very much, I learn something new every day especially working on a nuclear power station. The scale is enormous.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Proficient in Excel by learning a host of new functions such as linking sheets and VLOOKUP. Maths has greatly improved as well as communicating with subcontractors.

Very structured.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

A lot of support. They have their own placement programme with regular checkpoints. A lot of support from my line manager and colleagues around.

A lot, been put on an RICS path.

Could be better, move away from traditional taking off skills and focus on being up to speed with Excel and other new skills.

Yes, multiple commercial meals and parties such as Summer social and Christmas parties.
