Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
The Taylor Wessing Open Day ran from 10 am to 4:15 pm. We had presentations on the firm, its values, and the application process. Lunch was provided, where we had the chance to meet some trainees and network. The day concluded with a commercial awareness business game.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
Taylor Wessing stands out as a truly innovative firm. There is a great diversity of talent and skills amongst the people who work here. It is a firm that provides exciting opportunities and real responsibility for starting lawyers.

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
After a year of online learning and meetings, this in-person open day re-affirmed my confidence in face to face meetings. The commercial awareness business game was a great opportunity to practice teamwork. In my group, I made sure to actively listen to everyone's contributions as well as vocalise my own opinions. By doing this we supported each other and presented our pitch with tenacity.

Everyone I met on the Open Day was friendly and encouraging. There was always a positive atmosphere around the office.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I extremely enjoyed the Open Day. It was a fantastic opportunity to get a feel for the office culture and get to know some of the trainees. It felt like the day had been planned with care and the events ran smoothly and with great success. I am also very grateful to the graduate recruitment team for facilitating this Open Day in person.
