Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
My day-to-day role is either to run shifts or support fellow shift managers in running shifts. This includes Cashing up tills
Training/ up-skilling staff
Ensuring a good customer experience
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
My apprenticeship programme is mainly done in my own time, which can be challenging when in a high-performance-based role requiring me to do a full day of work before even thinking about my apprenticeship. It can be stressful it can be during peak times.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I've learned how to forecast sales, create a schedule for 160+ employees weekly, and manage inventory and deliveries. I've also continued to work on my confidence and conflict management.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
My programme is organised so i attend meetings at least every 6 weeks to check on my progress, I also had monthly skills days to do some extra learning. However, i feel that some of the meetings are pointless due to just continuing independent learning.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
I receive time most weeks to do some independent learning and when I need help my business manager is able to take the time to explain the systems we have that relate to the learning I'm doing.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
2/5
The majority is independent learning however when meetings with my coach can be beneficial on occasion, however, I don't get much constructive feedback.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
The qualification helps me think of new ways to approach situations which can be very helpful.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
We yearly have a Mcdonald's cup, where we play football against other restaurants.
