Since 2006, the business has supported over 23,000 people through its award‑winning apprenticeship programmes, offering 20 pathways nationwide that combine hands‑on experience with structured learning, allowing people to earn while they gain recognised qualifications.
From day one, apprentices receive dedicated support from a McDonald’s Mentor, helping them build confidence, develop skills and progress in their careers. McDonald’s apprenticeships also break down barriers to opportunity, help businesses thrive, and drive economic growth.
McDonald’s has consistently been recognised for its Apprenticeship Programme, via HigherIn Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers, National Apprenticeship & Skills Awards, Multicultural Apprenticeship Awards and Apprenticeship & Training Awards. Each year, from November – March, McDonald’s opens applications for its award-winning School Leaver Degree Apprenticeship.
