To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
Although my programme is quite stressful. I do enjoy learning new things every single day. I find that every day is a different day and i am faced with different challenges each day. However, I do believe that in order to reach targets, it is difficult as I have to spend time completing apprenticeship work.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt how to adapt my customer service skills, covert currency, learnt about destinations and the popular resorts within those destinations, politics within destinations, how to sell insurance legally and effectively, i have developed my confidence in general. I have developed teamwork skills and admin skills such as processing data, sending emails to suppliers etc.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
The programme is well structured as there is an online portal where apprentice work can be submitted. There is teams where you can talk to your mentor at any time in the work day and they will respond. Your apprentice mentor has a call with you every month to check up on your wellbeing.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I receive a lot of support from my employer through teams messages, catch up calls, one to one catch ups, weekly sit down catch ups. If there is ever a problem, I know that I can talk to my manager or my apprenticeship coach and it will be resolved quickly,
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
I receive a great amount of support from my training provider as I am able to message my coach at any time in the week and if not I can speak to other mentors on my teams group. The training provider itself is very supportive and sends helpful tools in order to help with work.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I believe that through my qualification/training provider programme, I have learnt a lot more in depth information regarding the job that I am doing and i have lot's more knowledge on destinations and countries politics than some of my other colleagues who have been working in the industry much longer
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
2/5
There are not many extra curricular activities at TUI. However, we do have an apprenticeship group where we can chat and help eachother out with our workload. TUI is constantly holding events and training events in particular that allows colleagues to meet each other and learn lots of new knowledge together.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend TUI UK & Ireland to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I would recommend TUI for an apprenticeship as you learn lots of new skills as well as meet new people in the same boat as you. It's important that you really want to go into the travel industry as it is very travel orientated. However, you learn lots of retail skills.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to TUI UK & Ireland?
I would create a very good CV that stands out from the rest. Try and work in retail beforehand as this will give you a much better chance than others. However, make sure you do your research to make sure travel is the industry that you want to go into.
