Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
Reviewing customer complaints, investigating the complaint. Matching the points of interests within the complaint to the companies compensation guidelines to ensure appropriate levels of compensation is provided to the customer whilst justifying the amounts offered. Ensuring any forms of compensation is compliant to ensure the business can reclaim back from hoteliers.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I really enjoyed the variety of written units in case studies and question & answer portions. Having the best lecturer really helped the enjoyment of the programme. I would highly recommend to everyone. Thanks to the programme I got diagnosed with dyslexia and re-ignited my love for learning, especially in the friendly relaxed environment I experienced.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learned the importance of the business in the travel industry and the complexity of running the business effectively and efficiently. I believe I have learned more about how companies operate. Especially the super computer that really intrigued me considering the significance it plays in the everyday operation of the business.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
It was very well organised, meetings arranged in advance during 1 to 1 meetings ensuring I was available and free. It was structured very well ensuring I wasn't overwhelmed and providing enough time for me to complete assignments between units. I never felt like I was juggling too many tasks.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I received the appropriate support from my employer. No push back for any arranged appointments or college days. It was always signed off at first point of contact. They encouraged me to sign up for the course and have arranged for me to progress onto level 3 and then level 4.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
Stephanie was amazing, friendly and supportive. Always available to answer my questions and to provide additional support when I needed it. Made sure I was handling my work load by ensuring I wasn't taking on more than I could handle. Even encouraged to progress onto level 3 and then level 4.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
Like the saying "knowledge is power" I feel empowered as if I have levelled up my mind and I feel more capable to handle my daily challenges regardless of the situation I find myself in. I have in fact progressed in my employment twice since beginning the course which I didn't think I was capable of.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
2/5
I don't believe there are anything in relation to this at my work place. Unfortunately I am not a sociable person in general so social activities wouldn't suit me however I do enjoy playing sport preferably football. Perhaps this is something I could look into within the business.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend TUI UK & Ireland to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Ignoring my initial introduction to Tui (I had a poor team manager who nearly forced me out of the business). I had been assigned a new team manager who was amazing, very inspirational, since then I have had a fantastic time and progressed into 2 further roles whilst supported the business in crisis for example when hurricanes happened and working pro-actives, its a role where it can feel very rewarding.
There is a lot of knowledge to be absorbed and you get a sense of feeling like a specialist.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to TUI UK & Ireland?
Be yourself and be courageous. Its a great company to work for, you are supported by your team as well as other teams. Having a positive attitude is key even when faced with negativity. Demonstrate integrity and positiveness. Tui operate as a support network, no one is left to struggle and support is always at hand. I am glad and great for the opportunities Tui have blessed me with.
