Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I am currently the Head of Talent for CEVA Logistics UKI with responsibility for leading the Resourcing, Early Careers, Talent, Engagement and Learning and Development agenda.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
Whilst it's early days, the content so far has been relevant and appropriate for my role in HR and I can certainly say that I have an interest in and an appetite for the topics that have been covered.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
It has been a long time since I embarked on any form of academic study so the main skills I have developed are linked to academic writing and critical analysis.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
2/5
There has been a lack of clarity from the provider in terms of what is expected from an apprenticeship perspective and 6 months in, I still havent been provided with the mechanism to record my off the job learning. However, in terms of the lectures and the academic schedule, the information provided has been great to date.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Given that its been a long time since I studied academically, the support from CEVA has been fantastic. There are a number of other colleagues who are currently on or have completed the same apprenticeship so I have been able to take advice and guidance from them when needed.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
2/5
I have been a little disappointed with the lack of support from the learning provider, particularly given that it has been a long time since I last completed a professional qualification.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
Given that my experience is within an area of specialism, it definitely provides me with a much broader view of HR.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes, absolutely! CEVA regularly holds CSR events and engagement initiatives that colleagues are able to participate in. We also host social events throughout the year, such as a Head Office Christmas party and adhoc celebrations such as the Queens Jubilee, for example.
