Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

As I am an apprentice I do not have a set role. Over the last 6 months of doing my apprenticeship I have taken on various different tasks and roles. This includes: doing audits, admin, answering calls and emails for the customer, compliance tasks, working on projects and shadowing different departments and other sites.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I am enjoying my apprenticeship and I am very glad that I chose to do this degree apprenticeship over alternative options such as university as I feel as though this was the perfect option for me.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have gained experience in many areas including: complaint management, working under
pressure, decision making, various excel skills, communication skills and much
more. Which has allowed me the build up my confidence.

Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is well structured in regards to the degree aspect. For the apprenticeship aspect it is more flexible, as each apprentice is located at the nearest site to their house and will all do different tasks and roles dependent on their site. There are no fixed roles, so we can have experience in many different areas.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive lots of support as there are multiple people who I am familiar with who I know I can talk to if I was struggling or needed any advice.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive a lot of support and have never been denied anything when I have asked for help. Such as spending a bit of my work time on my university work if I was feeling pressured under deadlines,
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Working on the job whilst learning in university is very helpful as it is much easier to understand the work when it involves things I see and do everyday at work. E.g. warehouse module as I am currently working in a warehouse.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I have been involved in professional networking events e.g. a project management course at the head office, a bake off event in national apprenticeship week. There are also opportunities to be involved in sports events such as running competitions and much more

Would you recommend CEVA Logistics to a friend?

Why?
I would recommend CEVA as there are so many opportunities to learn and be involved in big projects as well as having a lot of fun. As CEVA is such a big company there are many networking opportunities and I have had the chance to meet and hear advice from many different people.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to CEVA Logistics?
If you are interested in supply chain and logistics and warehousing be confident in sharing your passions when applying. If you do not know much about it but you are interested as I was, be honest about your willingness to learn and show your enthusiasm.
