Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
Apprentice mechanic learning about the vehicles and working to fix. Workshop cleaning at times and going to college to gain the qualification and progress further knowledge there. Learn with mentors.get used to a working environment aswell and begin to create working relationships with other colleagues. Progress in the company after the apprenticeship
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
The programme is a good opportunity for the skills and qualifications. The workshop is a satisfactory place to learn about all of the trucks and begin to master the skills that need to be learned to obtain the qualifications. It is overall a good apprenticeship with some drawbacks but nothing major

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
3/5
Gained many new skills in and out of the workshop including skills involving mechanising and a range of other including social skills working with new people and people older. Also IT skills using the computer functions that help with the job. Learnt how to deal with customers and people from other businesses

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
It is well organised in terms of knowing when and where you are involving college etc some of the organisation involving work itself could be better and more clear to everyone. The college blocks are well set out and follow a clear guideline which is visible to everyone who needs it
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
You can receive a lot of help from employers and they can create many good opportunities. There are people for all different situations to talk to and help what’s wrong and fix said problem. Sometimes some information is not to be able to be found so people will help there is also good support from the college
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
The training provider offers a lot of help and support when needed. There are people informing you of when and where you need to be at all times and there are always people who are willing to help. People coke and regularly offer help and help keep track of progression
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
The things you learn at college are big help to what goes on in the workshop. They give a big detailed view of the qualification and help with the ins and outs about the trucks and other things such as British values. It also helps with functional skills like maths
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
Not official but there is a group of people who go and play football every other week. Other than that there is nothing at all but it would be good if there was more for people to get involved in as it would help with morale and team building

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend MOTUS Commercials to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I would because it is a good qualification to have but there is many things that could put people off about the apprenticeship so it depends on which person really. It also has potential job opportunities after the apprenticeship so that is always a good thing to have for people
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to MOTUS Commercials?
Look at the opportunity and decide if it’s a good fit for said person and make sure the place you are going to work is a good fit and where u can learn the most about the job and create the best working relationships and help reach the maximum potential of the job
