Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I am currently working on a live project based in Aston. My day to day role is commercial support for the client, genuinely my day to day role varies from reviewing application for payments, attending meetings, keeping up to date with CEMAR notifications and occasional walks around site.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy my programme to a great extent it allows me to gain experience in my job role as well as studying for my degree.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Whilst working as an apprentice I have gained vast amounts of confidence and construction knowledge. Additionally i have improved my confidence and accuracy whilst presenting.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The degree apprenticeship programme is fairly well structured. I am allocated 20% of my time off to study for my degree as well as being supported by an apprenticeship outcomes officer and supportive line manager.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

The support from my employer is adequate as i am allocated time to complete my university work each week, and have quarterly review meetings with my apprenticeship outcomes officer.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The support from the training provider is okay i am given the opportunity to communicated any issues using the feedback pages on my modules and also given an apprenticeship outcomes officer to support me. Unfortunately due to the training being only online it is sometimes hard to ask questions.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

So far my qualification has provided me with some basic information to support my role however my day to day role differs from the training I am provided with.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are plenty of extra-curricular activities to take part in at my work such as monthly socials, football, running clubs, quarterly business unit socials and much more.

Why?
Arcadis provides a real people first attitude which can be seen with flexible working hours and being able to work from home. Additionally you are provided with many social opportunities and plenty of opportunities to expand your learning.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Arcadis?
The advice I would give to someone applying to Arcadis would be to ensure you have a great understanding of what Arcadis's long term goals are and to be as open and friendly as possible during any interviews, making sure you ask as many reasonable questions as possible.
