Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
In this fast-paced and challenging role, I oversee daily operations, ensure the smooth running of the restaurant, and maintain the highest standards of quality, service, cleanliness, and safety. My strong communication and organizational skills come in handy when assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and addressing customer concerns. I also play a pivotal role in managing inventory and cash, ensuring compliance with all McDonald's policies and procedures.
My role as an SRFM at McDonald's requires flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. With a positive and can-do attitude, I lead by example and inspire my team to work collaboratively towards achieving common goals. My commitment to excellence and willingness to go the extra mile is valued and appreciated.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
The best part of the apprenticeship for me was the opportunity to work closely with a team of employees and provide leadership and guidance as a shift running floor manager. I enjoyed the fast-paced work environment and the satisfaction of seeing our team work together to meet operational goals and provide exceptional customer service.
Throughout the program, I also developed strong communication skills, both in managing my team and in interacting with customers. I found that the training modules were well-structured and provided a solid foundation for my development as a shift manager.

Structure and Support

In addition to the formal training, I felt that I could approach my managers and mentor with any questions or concerns that I had. This helped me to feel more comfortable in my role and allowed me to build strong relationships with my team and other employees.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
Throughout the program, I had access to a variety of resources and support from my training provider, including regular check-ins, training sessions, and opportunities for on-the-job coaching. In addition, my qualification has helped me to feel more confident and capable in my role. I feel that I am better equipped to handle the challenges that come with managing a team and running a shift, and I'm more comfortable stepping up to take on new responsibilities.
