Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
To process and check confidential and personal data to process both the weekly and monthly payroll. To provide excellent, high-quality service, input data, query data and process the payroll in order to pay employees correctly.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I have thoroughly enjoyed the programme so far. I have enjoyed learning and working at the same time. All throughout, building on skills and getting real-world experience that will help me going forward. I highly recommend doing an apprenticeship.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Yes, I have learnt new skills and developed skills that I already have. I have gained more confidence, built on my communication skills, my customer service skills, my problem solving skills, my team-working skills and my attention to detail. I have also learnt new skills such as critical thinking.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
My programme is well-structured to give me the time I need with my tutor one-to-one and enough time to complete my college work, alongside my everyday tasks. I always feel as though I can go to my tutor for help if I do struggle.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive lots of support from my employer. This is both in the office and from the wider team that is based in a different city. I feel I can always ask for support when I need it and I do not feel alone.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
From my training provider, I always feel supported and I am always offered extra support should I need it. I know that I can go to my tutor or any individual at the training provider for help and they will offer the help and support to me.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
My qualification which I am working towards has helped me perform better in my role because it has given me the background knowledge which is very useful when it comes to my day-to-day/ monthly jobs.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
No, usually I don't. However, the NHS Trust is always sending out events or webinars of which I can attend in regards to my career or to hear what is going on in the organisation.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend NHS to a friend?
Yes
Why?
They are supportive and help you reach your full potential.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NHS?
There are so many options of which if you don't like a certain department or job role, there are plenty of opportunities to grow and develop in other areas of the Trust, if you wish to do so.
