Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
Work 4 days a week, day release once a week. We're expected to be put on projects to shadow developers to better our education and understanding of what the job entails.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I did not initially have plans to go into tech but during my gap year, I attended some coding workshops and was introduced to the world of software developing and I was pretty much hooked. I love my job which is weird for me to say because that's not the norm. But I'm truly enjoying everything I've been introduced to so far. I think it's interesting as well as challenging

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I've successfully achieved a couple Microsoft certifications and plan to keep passing more. I barely had a background in IT prior to this apprenticeship so from my perspective everything is new, but I am learning each day

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
No problems with the programme structure so far.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Plenty. My line manager is very understanding and supportive especially in difficult situations. They've got a very open door policy which is great.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
So far I've had 2 weeks worth, `1 day a week, of university workshops and I believe it's too soon to have a complete opinion. I've not had any issues so far, my enquiries are dealt with and the workshops and clear and engaging.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I think the workshops go hand in hand with work. The actions I'm performing at work stem from the knowledge I've gained from the workshops.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There is constantly a range of events to get involved with!

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Fujitsu to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Why not? The company is amazing, you're constantly acknowledged for your successes. My managers respect me and there's a constant open door policy. Your education and progression is important to them. You're challenged but not too far out of your comfort zone. There's support there if you need it. There are plenty of perks. There are so many great people here at Fujitsu and I could go on but I'm sure you get the gist.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Fujitsu?
