Day to day subcontractor management, Payments and assessments of applications, Procurement, Design details, Compensation events.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Work well as a team and completed my first project which was a bespoke project that had never been done before so was a learning curve for everyone not just me. Really enjoyed it.

Plenty of training courses, In my second year of my degree, overall knowledge of the role and industry.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Overall structured well, work and study split works well. Could do with a bit more advise on our routes of development and career progression - Promotions etc
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Fair amount of support have a good relationship with my manager so I can always run through things if needed as we have a weekly meeting set up for this.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Decent amount of support only really had 1 or 2 modules that we struggled to get to grips with due to poor teaching but apart from that as a group of apprentices it has been good
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

So far non of the modules have really helped in my job role but have allowed me to gain more knowledge of the industry, however we have many more modules to come.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Not experienced a massive amount myself but I think this was due to the nature of my last project, I know that balfours usually do lots of events.

Why?
From my experience I have had great progression in my role due to the good relationship i have had with my line manager and really got the chance to get stuck in with my job and was really thrown in the deep end.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Balfour Beatty?
Make sure you have industry knowledge and have some sort of work experience. Also be inclined to take on as much as you can when you start as I found it to be the best way to learn.
