Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
My day-to-day role is to ensure works on site are being completed properly (in the right position and to the right level), keep track of material on and off site to ensure we are recovering costs.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I enjoy what i do on-site as not everyday is the same, and i have good support around me (from engineer, to section engineer and the project lead) who will always help me if i am struggling which always gives you a boost.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Everything practical i do on-site is a new skill i have learned as i haven't done it in the past, such as setting out using the EDM/dumpy and setting up a laser level. I have also developed my skill in understanding drawings and details.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
I think it is structured pretty well the only downside is trying to juggle between on-site works, then on-site evidence for my Competence Matters programme as well as college assessments after my shift is done.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I always feel supported by my colleagues around me and the engineers i work with, nobody ever hesitates to help me when im struggling or need a bit of assistance.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
My competence matters assessor is always helpful if i am needing any further help with any of my evidence submissions, we have weekly/fortnightly discussions now on how i can improve with my submissions.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
2/5
Not that i am aware of.
