Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
Also, I record fit mask sheets onto the OLM matrix, recording signing in sheets onto the drive and the ESR website. I reply to and answer NLMS queries by using the Outlook application and phone calls and updating the learner’s matrix. I also update certified courses on the user’s matrix using the ESR website and OLM matrix application. Bi-Weekly, I scan and record sign-in sheets onto ESR and to the Windows Network Drive. If it has not been completed, then the staff training data would not be updated and if the staff training is not up to date, the breaching compliance could have an impact on their job role. This also includes the staff’s training not being certified or the people who have attended or not attending training sessions on ESR as well. Finally, every month, I update user guides regarding the ESR website by adapting the recent user guides that were saved on Microsoft Word.
The new skills that I developed at this job are being flexible with my tasks, always contributing to the team, showing that I am determined to do anything required, always working hard and always showing enthusiasm to the team. I am always very punctual with my tasks and show support to everyone in the organisation. The experience and skills I have developed during this time may result in a permanent position or provide a reference and help for newer jobs available. In addition, I have been getting feedback each month from my manager and discussing new goals, tasks and improvements. Last month, my goals/targets were to re-design the ESR notice board for new and existing members of the team and my improvement was to work on time management.
My strengths include being able to maintain positive relationships with the team and the organisation. To be able to meet deadlines, complete tasks on time and take care of my work and to able to present myself professionally in the workplace. Regarding my weaknesses, it is difficult to get ideas and think of solutions to the problems. It is also difficult to say the correct words and structure sentences together and it is difficult to take the lead in the situation whether to find solutions or to organise a whole project. My opportunity regarding my apprenticeship is moving forward with my career plan by being an Administrator at the NHS. Adding another qualification such as a Business Admin Apprentice Level 4 would help me spread my career choices and other career choices with the qualification such as a Business Consultant or an Office Manager. My threats include the apprenticeship is decided by the employer, on who has worked hard on their jobs could impact my future career and complaints by users who are unsure of the new system online.
I use my English skills to identify any errors and correct the module carefully. I have been practising this every time I check for spelling checks and grammar in my sentences.
I complete tasks to organisational standards by using the organisation’s email signature. Sending letters, we use a template from the organisation’s intranet site. I make sure I use the correct templates for documents and follow the standards. I proofread what I have written and make sure they have the correct information and details. I follow the standards when providing information to staff over the telephone who need the logins to their accounts. I make sure I follow security for data protection and verify their details before giving out information.
