Handling process of ocean shipments from start to finish, customer facing role, dealing with issues and queries
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

It was difficult to enjoy the programme as it took place during the height of the covid pandemic. This left me mostly working from home and struggling to find a project that I could lead or partake in. I had one on one learning sessions which left me feeling isolated at times

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme was unorganised as I had transferred my apprenticeship from another company, I worked with the provider to decide how my programme should be structured.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I had 5 changes in management in the time I was working on the apprenticeship, I received little to no support until the last 6-8months of the programme. My portfolio ended up being mostly based on a project I completed within the last month of my programme.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I had a monthly 1 on 1 session with my provider, I struggled to meet deadlines due to how busy my day to day job was but my provider supported me through this. My provider had little support to give me when it was time to take my exams as I was the first person under their management to take the exams for this qualification.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I have moved to a role within tender management where project management skills are vital. My qualification allows me to create action trackers to meet deadlines and RAG matrixes to asses risks.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Would you recommend CEVA Logistics to a friend?

Why?
I believe I had a poor experience within the operations team, however I was given the opportunity to move into another department after I gained my qualification. My opinion of CEVA has greatly improved since and I can now see there are other apprentices within the business that are having a better experience then I had.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to CEVA Logistics?
The application and interview process was very straight forward.
I would have liked to have been told the state that the team I was joining was in, the team I joined clearly wasn't equipped to deal with an apprentice.
Despite this, I wanted to join CEVA due to the company's size and the opportunities for career development.
