Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

As a software developer you work with many different technologies such as Angular, typescript, OutSystems and more. I work on client projects getting hands on experience and with me I have seniors and other apprentices who I can learn from and develop my skills further.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The programme is really great as the people who work there are all lovely people who will help you with anything and guide you on your journey. To be able to get a degree and experience all for free is amazing as you get the best of both worlds.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed a lot at Fujitsu who allow you to learn so much. They will happily sponsor you to go and study for a certification for example AWS and they also have other learning platforms for free such as Cloud academy and LinkedIn learning.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

Structure is great as they will train you for 3-4 months so if you have never programmed before no need to worry. After this you will be put on a real project to put into practice what you have learned. Also people will be guiding you along the way
How much support do you receive from your employer?

They will help you with anything the people who work there are all super nice and willing to go out their way to support you.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The traning provider has room for improvement. Some modules feel really irrelevant to me as a software developer although there are some which are relevant. I also dont enjoy the teaching style which is mainly just the teacher talking and us students listening which makes it difficult to stay focused.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

If I'm honest I don't feel as if the university has helped me all that much in my role I feel as if everything that I have developed has all been through Fujitsu.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are social activities such as people going out for dinner and other more work related events such as webinars where you can meet people from different departments or organisations etc as for sports teams as far as I'm aware I don't think there is any.

The company is an amazing place to work with great people and great opportunities for people to develop and become the best they can.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Fujitsu?
Understand what Fujitsu is and what they do. (prepare some example projects they work on)
Bring evidence of what skills you have e.g. teamwork - group project at college
