Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
i am part of the Sales Planning and Reporting team so my role involves updating weekly, monthly or quarterly reports that will facilitate discussions during regular meetings. My role also involves taking part in different projects that will improve a specific area of the business like training, reporting or planning.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
The Chatered Manager Apprentice programme is very enjoyable as you are not stuck doing the exact same task every day. The apprenticeship programme involves working on different projects with other departments which is good because it helps you develop a holistic understanding of Rolls Royce as a business and it helps you develop a diverse skills set.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
You get given different responsibilities and projects to work on since the moment you join which is great because you get the chance to develop your skills pretty quickly. the company offers a variety of internal courses to help you develop personal and professional skills like resilience, negotiating skills, problem solving skills, etc.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
I think the apprenticeship programme at Rolls Royce is well organised and structured as during the first months you join you are not expected to perform complex tasks or work on difficult projects. The workload is changing progressively as you develop your skills and understanding of your job role and responsibilities.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
When i joined the company in September last year, I felt like everyone in the team was very supportive not only my manager as everyone is willing to help with any problems that you might face or any questions that you have. Everyone in the team is very approachable which makes it easier when working on projects because you don't feel scared of asking "stupid questions"
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
I think because this is my first year, the content that we see in university and the modules are more based on introductory content and foundation modules which is good as it helps you familiarise with the content and the industry. This is expected to be more specific as we progress with the programme.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
I think the content that i will be learning in each module during this apprenticeship programme will help me improve my performance at work because i will be working on cross functional projects which means that i need to have an understanding of different areas of a business in general and put theory into practice.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
The company does different events throughout the year like new model launch events and social events that some employees are able to attend which is good for meeting new people and networking. We also have the opportunity to get involve in different voluntary initiatives that will help the local community.
